NBC’s runaway hit singing competition ‘The Voice‘ has scored four nominations in the 2012 Emmy Awards.  The reality show, which features country’s own Blake Shelton as a judge, earned nominations in the categories of Outstanding Art Direction for Variety or Nonfiction Programming, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Enhancement to a Television Program or Series.

Most importantly, ‘The Voice’ is nominated for Best Competition Reality Show. It is the only music show in that category, competing with ‘The Amazing Race,’ ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ ‘Project Runway,’ ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Top Chef.’

Comedian and TV host Jimmy Kimmel joined actress Kerry Washington to announce the nominations Thursday morning. (July 19). Kimmel will host the The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony on September 23, 2012 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The show will air live on ABC.
