This Day In Country Music – Blowing Out Candles
We are actually celebrating ” This Weekend” in Country Music since not all the birthdays we need to celebrate happen today. In fact we are going to focus more on tomorrow November 10th.
Otherwise I would have to write about Willie Nelson and his tax trouble with the IRS and I am pretty sure that Willie wouldn’t want us to bring up that subject any more than we have too.
Happy Birthday to Yvonne Vaughn! If you’re thinking, “I don’t think I know her”, you do just under a different name. Yvonne was born November 10 in 1945 in the town that Andy Griffith made famous, Mount Airy North Carolina. Yvonne is a multiple CMA Award and ACM winner. She even had the song and single of the year in 1972. Do you give up? She is the Happiest Girl in the Whole USA, She is Donna Fargo! She celebrates a birthday on Sunday.
Also celebrating a birthday on Sunday is another multiple ACM and CMA Award winner. Her husband is pretty famous too. You probably heard her visiting with us on the Nashville Insider Friday morning about how important it was to lose weight and focus on her health before she turns 30 on Sunday. Happy Birthday to Miranda Lambert!
Another closer to home birthday that we need to celebrate is for a country performer who was born in Deridder Louisiana on November 10 1968. He hit the top of the charts with I Breathe In, I Breathe Out. Happy Birthday to Chris Cagle.
