Quarterback Drew Brees leads the NFL in passing yards (1062) and touchdowns (8), but the New Orleans Saints are 0-3.

Saints linebacker Craig Robertson leads the NFL in tackles (35), but the Saints are 0-3.

While both the above stats are telling, more Brees stat sums up the current state of the Saints.

According to Pro Football Reference, Brees is tied for the most single season 375 yard and 3 touchdown performances in a loss (0-2). Brees accomplished the same feat in 2012, while Drew Bledsoe, Peyton Manning, Tony Romo and Billy Volek did it once in various years.

However, the alarming nature of the statistic is that he's matched the number and the NFL season is only 3 weeks long!

The sheer rarity of the stat is proof of its difficulty. History shows that when a quarterback throws for 375+ yards and 3 or more touchdowns, his team wins. Unless you're Drew Brees on the 2016 Saints.

At 37 years old, Brees is still one of the best players in the world. His team however, is one of the worst in the league, likely leading to more losses in the near future, despite Brees putting together impressive performances.
