This past year has been a busy one for Lafayette in regards to the movie industry. And Christmas is the common theme.

There were three movies filmed in the Lafayette area that are going to be premiering over the holidays.

"The Christmas Contract" will be the first to hit the small screen as it premieres on Thanksgiving at 7pm on Lifetime.

The film is a bit of a "One Tree Hill" reunion as it stars actors Hilarie Burton and Lafayette native Danneel Ackles. Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux also makes an appearance in the movie as himself.

On December 2nd at 8pm, ION television network will be airing "Christmas Cupid's Arrow" starring Elizabeth Harnois.

That's the film that was shot over the summer in Lafayette and features many downtown businesses.

And finally, Lifetime will premiere "Hometown Christmas" on December 16th at 7pm. It was filmed in Youngsville and Lafayette.

One of the locations of filming for this was Le Barn Rouge on Rue Du Belier in Lafayette.

"Hometown Christmas" follows a young woman who reconnects with her high school sweetheart while trying to put on a nativity play.
