Severe thunderstorm warnings have already been posted for portions of Acadiana early this morning as a line of thunderstorms pushes southward toward the Gulf Coast. Southern Avoyelles Parish was placed under a severe thunderstorm warning shortly after 2am as a rather strong storm approached the area.

Forecasters say the danger for heavy to severe thunderstorms should clear the area by 7am. The remainder of the day should be clear and cooler with a nice northerly breeze. Concert goers attending tonight's Eric Church, Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour at the Cajundome should expect temperatures to be in the upper 70's at showtime but becoming much cooler and breezy when the show is over. So don't forget to take a light jacket for the walk back to the car after the concert.
