Super Bowl Sunday is still a few days away, but Tim McGraw is already helping America get psyched for the big game. On Friday morning (Feb. 1), McGraw played 'One of Those Nights' for a packed audience at the House of Blues in New Orleans. The performance aired live on 'Good Morning America.'

Always dressed for such an occasion, McGraw took the House of Blues stage wearing a purple Louisiana State University Tigers T-shirt and, of course, his big, black cowboy hat. Naturally, he didn't take any shortcuts for the four-minute live performance, despite it being early. He brought five guitarists and a drummer along to ensure that his rendition of 'One of Those Nights' was spot-on.

And it was. While McGraw played, the packed audience danced, sang and cheered him on.

In an ABCNews.com video interview, the Louisiana native talked about music, his favorite thing about Louisiana, and his pick for the big game.

"On one hand, San Francisco is interesting because they're young and very talented. I think it's going to be tough to beat them. My dad is from that area, and my uncle lives in that area and he's a big 49ers fan," McGraw reveals. "But also, I have a connection with the Ravens with Michael Oher and the whole 'Blindside' story."

McGraw's new album, 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' is due for release on Feb. 5.
