A certain morning show host changed his Facebook profile picture to one of legendary game show host Wink Martindale.  That reminded me of Wink’s other two careers:  disc jockey and recording artist.Yes!  Wink Martindale is a veteran radio broadcaster and singer.  Wink started his radio career while in high school and is still on the air today in syndication on beautiful music station.  Wink has a top-10 record to his name as well.  In 1959, Martindale recorded a rendition of the song “The Deck of Cards.”  His version of the religion-themed country song went to number-7 on the Billboard charts, leading to Martindale performing the song on the Ed Sullivan Show.  Without further adieu, here’s Winston Conrad Martindale’s appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1959, in which he performs “The Deck of Cards.”
