With racial tensions running high across the country, we're hearing a lot of negative lately. It's very important to remember that there are mostly good things happening all around us. One of these good things was captured in a photo in Kenner, La showing a touching act of human kindness. This man didn't do this for a photo op, he did this because it's just the right thing to do.

Deepak Saini, who took the picture tells WGNO "When I saw this, I thought, people need to see that. There are people that are kind on both sides of the color line, and we need to focus more on how we can help each other and be there for each other, rather than what sets us apart."

The man in the photo is Kenner resident James Varnado. He had no idea anyone took a picture.

Varnado tells WGNO "People are people. Help. Somebody needs help? Help 'em."
