Trace Adkins was our very special guest on the Bruce & the Kennel Club this morning as he phoned in to chat about his new music, Celebrity Apprentice and his time in Cajun country.

As many of you may recall, Trace's first band was called Bayou and consisted of Acadiana natives Steve Grisaffe, Kip Sonnier, Benny Sonnier and Eddie Bodin. We reminisced about the those "mullet days" with the pride of Sarepta, Louisiana.

Today also marks the release date of the new disc from Trace Adkins called Love Will..., which is the 11th studio album from him. We talked about some of his special guests on the CD including the band Exile and Trace's love and admiration for those guys.

And of course we had to help Trace brag a bit about his appearance on this Sunday's Celebrity Apprentice on NBC. Trace is up against Penn Jillette for the title and huge donation to their charity of choice. In the former's case, it's the American Red Cross.

Re-live the magic (yeah, we'll go with that) that was our conversation with the country star.
