Tropical Storm Andrea has not changed that much in intensity during the overnight hours. The official forecast from the Hurricane Center doesn't indicates that there will be some opportunity for the storm to strengthen before landfall but not much is expected.

The forecast track still suggests that Andrea will remain well away from the Louisiana coast line and will most likely cross the coast in the big bend of Florida. The most lasting effects of Andrea will be heavy rainfall. Radar scans from Tampa Bay indicate several inches of rain have already fallen with more on the way.

Those wise in the ways of tropical systems know that the heaviest weather, rain and winds are always on the eastern side of the system. Andrea is currently producing very heavy rains on the Florida peninsula, Those rains will push up the Eastern Seaboard as the system begins to  pick up speed and takes a projected northeasterly track.
