The threat of a land falling tropical system along the Northern Gulf Coast has appeared to have fizzled out. Tropical Storm Ernesto now appears headed for Mexico. Tropical Storm Florence is weakening in the Tropical Atlantic.

The latest information from the National Hurricane Center in Miami projects Ernesto to pass just north of Honduras and eventually make landfall near the border of Belize and Mexico.
