There are still about six weeks left in the official Atlantic Hurricane season for 2013. While much of Acadiana is looking forward to fall like conditions over the next few days the tropics are still very active. Tropical Storm Lorenzo formed late yesterday over the mid Atlantic.

The current forecast models and official track from the National Hurricane Center should  not give residents of any major land mass reason for concern.  The projected path of Lorenzo keeps the storm at tropical storm strength and over water before becoming extra-tropical by the end of the week.
