Baton Rouge Couple Trapped Up A Tree By Alligators
A Baton Rouge couple was surely hoping that the “Swamp People” were in the vicinity when they were treed by alligators after their boat sank in Lake Verett earlier this week. Deputies from Assumption and St. Martin parishes found Gerald and Lisa Triche early Monday, about 15 feet up in cypress trees along the lake’s edge in Assumption Parish. Uh Oh.
Mr Triche said that as he and his wife swam toward cypress trees on shore after their boat capsized, they could see alligators swimming toward them. They remained in the trees for several hours before help eventually arrived. Thank goodness!
