Tulane has accepted an invitation to play against Louisiana-Lafayette in the New Orleans Bowl. The Green Wave's confirmation of the bowl bid today marks the program's first chance to play a postseason game since the Hawaii Bowl in 2002.

Tulane had 10 straight losing seasons before second-year coach Curtis Johnson led the Green Wave to a 7-5 record this season. Tulane was in contention to win Conference USA's West Division until falling 17-13 at division-winner Rice on Saturday.
