A shooting in Acadia Parish has Branch Elementary and Rayne High on lockdown.

That’s according to our news partners at KATC, who say the two schools are on lockdown after the shooting happened in a rural area of the parish on Victor Drive. Branch Elementary is on lockdown because, as school officials point out, the suspect is the ex-husband of one of the school employees. Rayne High is on lockdown because it’s about nine miles from where deputies say the shooting took place.
