Want to dance your heart out and help someone who needs it?  Then you need to be at the Blue Moon Saloon this Sunday, November 15 starting at 5 p.m. to hear two great bands and help warm a heart.

The Opelousas Lighthouse Mission is hosting the Two-Steppin' Coast Drive to benefit their group along with St. Joseph's Shelter and the Stella Maris Center. If you come with a coat for either an adult or child, you will only pay $10 to get to see Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band along with the Pine Lead Boys!

You can still come out and dance even if you don't bring a new or gently used coat, but then you will be asked to donate $15 per person.

Stefan Bourgeois joined "Acadiana's Morning News" to talk about this event, and to talk about what kind of coats are needed in our area.

In Acadiana, there are many homeless people and needy people could use your help.  They are collecting clean, gently used coats for folks who need them for our upcoming cold weather. They are looking for coats for all shapes and sizes for adults and children.

Even if you can't make the Sunday event, you can still donate a coat.  Donations are being accepted now through Monday, November 22 by sending an email to twosteppincoatdrive@olmission.org.

Checks or money orders are accepted via standard mail at the following address:

P.O. Box 1437

Opelousas, LA 70571

You can also go online to donate at: http://www.olmission.org.

Bourgeois says special thanks go to the following sponsors for making the fundraiser happen:
