UL Athletics Celebration Set For August 23rd

How good a year was it for Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns? According to news reports only one top division university can claim the following. They had a football bowl game victory. They sent a team to the NCAA Basketball Tournament. They hosted Regional and Super Regional tournaments in Baseball and Softball. They sent a team to the Women's College World Series. That was the year for the Ragin Cajun Athletics program.

Fans are invited to join in a special celebration of this great season Saturday August 23rd. The event will be held at the Cajundome Convention Center and it begins at 7pm. There will be live music featuring the band Vermilion plus food and drinks available. Fans can bid on items during a silent auction and purchase raffle tickets. Members of the U.L. coaching staff will also be available for conversation and pictures.

The cost of admission is $150 per ticket. That ticket admits two people to the event. Tickets are available through ticketmaster. For Ragin Cajun fans this is the perfect way to kick start another great season of athletics. The Ragin Cajun football team will be in action the following Saturday as they host the Southern University Jaguars at 6pm.
