It is that time of year once again y'all; it's time for some Mardi Gras. With that comes fun, craziness, and of course accidents. What that means is our friends at United Blood Services are in need of stocking up for the Mardi Gras season.

UBS will be on the UL campus on Wednesday, February 3rd and Thursday, February 4th in front of Dupre Library from 9am to 3pm both days.

Come on Cajuns, it's time to roll up your sleeve and save not one but three lives! All blood types are needed. However, UBS is in serious need of type O negative red cells and type AB plasma donations. If you didn't know. type O negative is the only type that can safely be given to patients of all blood types.

Students, make sure to stop by between classes. If you would like to make an appointment ahead of time, visit UnitedBloodServices.org and take the 'Health History Questionnaire' you will need for your donation. You will need to print it and bring it with you.

Volunteer donors must at at least 16 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Additional height/weight requirements apply to donors 22 years and younger. Those 16 years of age will need signed permission from a parent or guardian to donate

All donors will receive a free cholesterol test as well as points in the 'Hero in Me' online rewards store.

Please bring your photo I.D. to donation. For more information, call 877-UBSHERO (877-827-4376). Geaux Give Blood!
