UL Softball Defeats Troy, 7-2, Complete Series Sweep

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team completed a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference sweep of the Troy Trojans on Sunday, winning, 7-2, in the 2013 home finale at Lamson Park.
The win pushed UL's win streak to a season-high 19 games.
Louisiana jumped out on top, when Nerissa Myers belted a three-run home run in the bottom half of the second inning, to take a 3-0 lead.
Troy got to within a run in the top half of the third inning, when Hannah Renn knocked a two-run home run, cutting the UL lead to 3-2.
The Cajuns put the game away with four runs in the sixth inning, courtesy of a two-run double by Myers, and a two-run homer by Sarah Draheim. That pushed the Louisiana lead to 7-2, as they went on to the five-run win.
Myers led the Cajuns at the plate, going 3-for-4, with a double, a homer, a run scored, and five RBI's.
Jordan Wallace (24-6) notched her 14th-straight win in the circle, while Jaycee Affeldt (6-6) suffered the loss.
With the win, Louisiana improved to 37-11, overall, and 16-4 in Sun Belt Conference play, while Troy fell to 20-30, overall, and 7-14 in league play.
