The price of stamps officially went up by one penny today.

The United States Postal Service announced the price increase back in October 2017 that the pricing change would take effect on January 21.

So starting today, the price of First-Class Mail Forever stamps climbs from 49 to 50 cents. Postcards go up from 34 to 35 cents and metered letters climb from 46 to 47 cents.

New Shipping Services product prices also increased Priority Mail 3.9 percent and Priority Mail Retail an average of 0.8 percent.

The changes are as follows:

    • Old price: $13.60
    • New price: $13.65
  • Large Flat Rate Box
    • Old price: $18.85
    • New price: $18.90
  • APO/FPO Large Flat Rate Box
    • Old price: $17.35
    • New price: $17.40
  • Regular Flat Rate Envelope
    • Old price: $6.65
    • New price: $6.70
  • Legal Flat Rate Envelope:
    • Old price: $6.95
    • New price: $7.00
  • Padded Flat Rate Envelope
    • Old price: $7.20
    • New price: $7.25
