As we all prepare for the solar eclipse later today, at 1:24 pm in Lafayette, here's one way to view it if you don't have the proper eyewear.

Go to your pantry and get a cereal box and use it to create a "projector." By cutting the top off of the box, you can project the eclipse into the box.

All that you need is a white sheet of paper, aluminum foil, tape, and a sharp object to puncture a hole.

This is good to know. Remember to NEVER look at an eclipse with the naked eye. Use what you may have in your house to view history.

Now, I'm off to empty a cereal box at home to use it to my advantage. Anyone have some foil that I can "borrow?"
