At a high school graduation ceremony in South Carolina, valedictorian Roy Costner delivered The Lord's Prayer, much to the delight of the crowd in attendance and against the wishes of "anti-Christian groups."

This story comes to us from Fox News and KPEL contributor Todd Starnes, who reports that anti-Christian groups have been demanding Pickens County cease reciting prayers at public gatherings. In fact, a prayer at any school functions and at graduation was prohibited by the school district and instead replaced with a moment of silence.

In Costner's address to the audience, while citing "those that we look up to," he thanked his parents "for lead(ing) him to the Lord at a young age." He then proceeded with "The Lord's Prayer."

Starnes says the school district has said that Costner would not be punished for saying the prayer.
