Vermilion Parish School Herod Elementary On Lockdown

Herod Elementary is on lockdown, according to officials at the school board office. Abbeville Police say an unidentified male was seen on campus, and they are searching for him door to door.

According to police, the man came onto the campus at 10:13 a.m. and that no one saw him leave. Officers said the man is reportedly unarmed and wearing some sort of uniform shirt with writing on it.
