Vincent ‘Don Vito’ Margera, Fan Favorite of MTV’s ‘Jackass’, Dead at 59

Vincent “Don Vito” Margera, best known for his appearances on MTV’s “Jackass” and “Viva La Bam” and the uncle of Bam Margera, died early Sunday. He was 59.

The cause of death is believed to be liver and kidney failure. He had slipped into a coma in Philadelphia last month after his condition continued to worsen.

Vincent was a favorite of the "Jackass" guys, often becoming a target of their pranks because of his short temper. In addition to the TV show, he appeared in the "Jackass" movies along with a prominent role in his nephew's "Viva La Bam", which aired on MTV from 2003 to 2006.

Vincent's death is only the latest loss in recent years for the MTV series. "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died in 2011 in a car accident at the age of 34.
