Warming Up The Car

I have often said to truly love someone means going out in the cold and wet and cranking the car so it will be nice and toasty warm for them. My Dad used to say it was good for the motor to do that, gets all the juices flowing, but is it really a good idea?

Old habits die hard, and one of the oldest — still rigorously enforced by many drivers — is that "warming up" the car for a few minutes is necessary to avoid some kind of unspecified damage.

I think the best innovation in the car industry besides cruise control has got to be heated seats. Want to know some more helpful wisdom for getting that car going on a cold day like today?
