Legendary zydeco musician Wayne Toups joined the Pride of Acadiana marching band to perform during halftime at the UL-App State game Wednesday night.

Toups, dressed in a UL jersey, stood on a stage at the 50 yard line flanked by the entire UL band who backed him on hits like "Johnny Can't Dance" and "Take My Hand." The crowd sang along word for word as Wayne was all smiles.

I'm not sure if this was the first time Wayne has ever played with the Pride of Acadiana, but it was the first time I've ever seen anything like it. The audio is a little low on Wayne's vocals, but the reason for that is because the band was facing me and the speakers for Toups' vocals are to the left under the scoreboard.

All in all, it's still a cool video of a cool moment. Props to both Wayne and the band!
