A BILLION dollars. That's billion with a 'B'. I COULD tell you what the first thing I would do if I won the Powerball is, but I would probably get fired. More importantly, you really, really need to get a game plan together just in case you take home the biggest lottery prize ever offered. I mean, the vultures will be coming out of the woodwork, and people you didn't even know you knew are going to be throwing love your way. Best to be prepared, just in case there is a huge change in your life!

Our friends at ABC News have some suggestions from experts about what to do before you claim the jackpot.

Sign The Ticket - Don't let someone else claim your millions!  A signed ticket with two forms of matching identification is what is required to get the payout in most places.

Stay Anonymous, if You Can - Some states do not allow you to remain anonymous, so you really need to check your laws on this one. In some places you may legally be required to go public once you claim your ticket..

Assemble a Money Management Team - Hire an estate planner, a certified financial planner and/or an accountant before claiming the ticket.

Don't Start Spending Right Away - Experts say you should wait at least 6 months to a year to make major purchases. What? No way - I'm buying a car tomorrow.

Just How Much Can You Actually Win? - Keep in mind that usually about one third of the total amount is taken out for state and local taxes

As the jackpot rises - just remember to remain calm, and good luck, ya'll!
