What Was The Last Song That Buck Owens Performed?

Sunday, March 24th marks the 7th anniversary of the death of country music legend Buck Owens. Of all of his hits, what was the last song that Buck performed live on stage?

Buck Owens was already a star when he teamed up with Roy Clark, Grandpa Jones and a cast other country performers and comedians on the classic TV show Hee Haw. The show was panned by the critics but audiences loved it.

Buck and his band the Buckaroos toured the world sharing what became known as the Bakersfield sound. Merle Haggard and later Dwight Yoakam  were also associated with this unique sound of country music named for California town where Buck lived as a child.

By the way Big in Vegas was the last song that Buck performed on stage March 23 2006. After leaving the stage, Buck went home to his ranch where he passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of March 24.
