When Engineers Carve Pumpkins [Video]

There is a certain breed of human that roams that planet that not too many of us understand. I speak of the engineer. The engineer is a complex and logical thinker that is blessed with a strange creative side. These are the people that build our world, keep it running and drive us crazy.

My son Jack is studying to be an engineer. He fits this mold quite nicely. He thinks way to hard and too often about problems. He devises multiple solutions to issues and always has a unique way to solve the problem. He can also be quite devious at times. The people in this video are engineers at NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Each year around Halloween they take a break from space exploration and have a little Earthly fun. They are given a pumpkin and one hour to carve it. The video is the result of what happens when you give engineers a problem and ask them to solve it.
