There are a couple of reasons why I still enjoy going home to my parent's house. Delicious, home cooked meals; spending time with my family; and playing with my two sweet, little angels. Sometimes I catch myself thinking about how gentle, loving and amazing pets are. My life would not be the same without my two furry friends.

The Jack Russel Terrier in the picture is Trudy and the Daschund is Rocky. Trudy is young and vibrant. She loves her daily walks and getting her belly rubbed. Rocky is 15 years old, stinky and sleepy. Even though his breath is absolutely atrocious, I like to think of him as my first born because he is my first pet. Both pets are completely different in their own way, just like my siblings and I are.

It is scientifically proven that people with pets are happier than people who do not have pets. I completely believe this fact. It is inconceivable to think how some hateful people could ever abuse or neglect their pets. Our pets are born with only one purpose: to love. Whenever we have a bad day and come home upset or in a bad mood, our pets are always there to greet us and cheer us up. They never judge, talk back, or hurt our feelings. I love my pets with all of my heart; they are a part of the family.

I'm sure your pets are just as spoiled as ours. Love them every, single day, because their goal every day is to make sure we feel loved by them.
