Woman Arrested After Breaking Into Church

A Lafayette woman has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a church.

Police officers were called out to Nouvelle Church after someone triggered a silent alarm.

Police say Erica Rodriguez was booked on a charge of simple burglary of a religious building Sunday after police say they found her hiding in the church.

Officers found a broken window pane, and then located Rodriquez hiding behind a rocking chair inside of the church's nursery.
