The holidays can bring a lot of stress. The traffic sucks, you're trying to figure out how in the world you're going to afford all of the presents your family wants, and on top of it all you've got the in-laws coming to stay for three days. For the most part, I completely understand how some people can be a big old Grinch. That being said, I can't understand the actions of one parent who reportedly lost it and beat her kids because they opened their Christmas presents too early.

KPLCtv.com reports that Indiana mother "Sascha Collins, 36, is accused of hitting the 7- and 9-year-old boys with a belt buckle, biting one of them and throwing both against a wall after learning the children had opened their Christmas gifts."

Police say the two boy's older sister came home and noticed the injuries. She called the police.

It's a pretty heartbreaking story to read anytime of year, but especially during Christmas.

To make matters worse, one of the boys is handicapped.

Collins could be facing charges of felony battery, including battery of a handicapped child with injury.
