Woman Who Was Texting and Driving Drove Straight Into Lake

Car Crash Into a Lake
NBC 4 – Washington D.C.

How many times do we need to remind you kids to stop texting and driving?

Apparently, at least one more time.

On Tuesday afternoon, a 25-year-old woman from Temple Hills, Maryland was texting and driving. While distracted, her car went off the road and hit a tree and it sent her flying about 50 feet into a lake.

The car started sinking but the woman managed to crawl out the window and swim to shore.

Her car was not as lucky. It sunk but only a few feet because it was not in a deep part of the lake. However, as you can imagine, the automobile was pretty much destroyed.

Charges against the lawbreaker are pending.
