Women Try On 43,200 Pieces of Clothing in a Lifetime, Men Try on Only 5,400

When you go shopping, how many different pieces of clothing do you try on?

You probably don't know the answer to that exactly, but let's just say if you're a woman, it's a lot more than a man.

A new survey found that the average woman tries on 43,200 pieces of clothing in their lifetime.That's an average of 12 items every shopping trip.

Guys try on a mere 5,400 pieces of clothing throughout their time on earth. That comes out to about three items per trip.

Now, here's the funny part -- women actually buy less items per shopping trip than men. Women buy about one in seven items they try on, basically one or two pieces every shopping trip.

Men buy two out of three things they try on.

The survey also found that women spend about 22 minutes trying on clothes while men spend only about five minutes.
