Sunset will get their first piece of public art ever, and it's going to be unveiled on Tuesday, May 22. The Zydeco Rubboard designed by local welder Pat Miller is a 4x6 piece of sculpture that will reside at north-west corner of Duffy Avenue and Napoleon Avenue in Sunset.

The official unveiling was at 10:00 am, and afterwards a reception was held at the Sunset Community Center, with music by Tee Don Landry and the Wayne Blue Burns Band.

Sunset is a designated Louisiana Cultural District, which means that you get a tax break when purchasing handmade goods from the local artists and artisans. The public is invited to come and and attend the festivities on Tuesday!

**UPDATE**

Video of the actual unveiling is below, and I can't wait to see it in person!
