(KSLA) is reporting New Jersey-based, Lakeside Refrigerated Services, shipped almost 43,000 pounds of ground beef to retailers nationwide, including Walmart on June 1st. The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service warn Americans that the ground beef could be contaminated with E. coli.

Look for the USDA inspection mark, then look for the number "EST.46841". If you have a meat product with those numbers, you should not consume the product and it should be discarded or taken to the point of purchase for a refund.

The ground beef meat products in question are:

  • 1-lb vacuum packages of "Marketside Butcher Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef". Use or freeze by date of July 1. Lot code P-53298-82.
  • 1-lb vacuum packages containing four quarter-pound "Marketside Butcher Organic Grass-Fed Ground Beef Patties". Use or freeze by date of June 27. Lot code P-53934-28.
  • 3-lb tray packages containing four quarter-pound "Thomas Farms Grass-Fed Ground Beef Patties 85% Lean / 15% Fat". Use or freeze by date of June 25. Lot code P53944-10.
  • 4-lb tray packages containing 10 quarter-pound "Thomas Farms Grass-Fed Ground Beef Patties 80 % Lean / 20% Fat". Use or freeze by date of June 25. Lot Code P53937-45.
  • 1-lb vacuum packages of four quarter-pound "Thomas Farms Grass-Fed Ground Beef Patties 85% Lean / 15% Fat". Use or freeze by date of June 27. Lot code P53930-18.
  • 1-lb vacuum packages of "Value Pack Fresh Ground Beef 76% Lean / 24% Fat". Use or freeze by date of July 1. Lot code P53930-18.
