4 Things to Hand Out to Trick-or-Treaters That Isn’t Candy

We all remember as kids dumping out our bucket of goodies after trick-or-treating and assessing the haul.

I mean you got to see the ratio of "fun size" candy to, well, everything else.

And then there are the "surprise" treats. Some were good and some were not so coveted. Things like popcorn balls or candy apples or dental floss from the neighborhood dentist!

If you want to be that creative house in your neighborhood and give out something different, then we have some suggestions for you.

According to one expert, here are four things you can give out that won't disappoint the little ghouls and goblins...or ninja turtles:

1. Temporary Tattoos -- You can buy sheets of these. Just cut them out and give out one or two to each kid.
2. Noisemakers -- Hey, they don't live at your house! You can buy them in bulk at your favorite party store or mega box store.
3. Glow Sticks -- What kid doesn't like a little neon in the night? And we want them to be safe while out roaming the streets on Halloween.
4. Mini Packs of Pretzels -- They're healthier than candy and almost everyone likes them.
