Brad Paisley Shares Song Written For Wife In Honor Of International Women’s Day
While many country stars posted odes to the strong females in their lives on International Women's Day (March 8). Brad Paisley came in a day late with his—but it nevertheless was one of the most touching tributes of all.
"Who is your miracle?" asked Paisley on social media, adding "Here's a lil' song for mine," tagging his wife, Kimberly Williams Paisley. The accompanying video treated fans to a sweet acoustic performance of song he'd written just for her, with lyrics that would make anyone's heart melt.
"This is the gospel, according to me/ A tale of whiskey turned to wine/ Ain't no moving of a mountain, ain't no parting the sea/ but I stand here witness to something just as divine," Paisley related.
"My miracle is five foot five/ No doubt in my mind she's the reason I'm alive/ And I wasn't always spiritual/ Only one thing's for sure/ How could I not have faith in the God that created her?"
Fans, predictably, were smitten by the song, which apparently (and aptly) is titled "My Miracle" according to Paisley's hashtag. The singer didn't say what his official plans are for the song, but it's clear he has a hit on his hands should he choose to pursue that route. "Please say you are releasing this!" begged many commenters.
Paisley and Williams Paisley have been married since 2003; the couple have two sons. The superstar will embark on a world tour starting May 30 in Albuquerque, N.M., with Chris Lane and singer-songwriter Riley Green serving as support acts.
