The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team wanted to get things going in order to get the monkey off of their back in regards to winning more games. The team was scheduled to play a doubleheader against The Maryland Terrapins and the first game would go 14 innings where the Cajuns would win 4-3 on a fielding error. The Cajuns would follow up that win with another walk off win in game #2 as they would win 2-1 to get their first series victory of the year

The Cajuns would draw first blood in game #1 on a 2-RBI single from Sebastian Toro that would score Todd Lott and Orynn Veillon. The Terrapins would tie the game in the top of the 6th thanks to an RBI triple and a sacrifice bunt and the hits in the 6th inning would take away Dalton Horton's perfect game. They would take the lead in the top of the 7th on an RBI double.

The Cajuns would tie the game in the bottom of the 9th on a passed ball. Both teams would have plenty of chances in extra innings but the Cajuns would make the most of their chances when they would score the winning run on a fielding error with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 14th inning.

The Terrapins would take the first lead in game #2 as they would score in the top of the 5th on a sacrifice bunt to take a 1-0 lead. The Cajuns were down to their last 3 outs in the bottom of the 9th when the Cajuns got 2 runners on and got them to 2nd and 3rd with nobody out O'Neal Lochridge would get the game tied up on an RBI single. Just like the first game of the doubleheader the Cajuns would get the winning run across on a throwing error.

The Cajuns will look to play two midweek games on the road as they face Nicholls on Tuesday and McNeese State on Wednesday. They will return home next weekend to face off against Loyola Marymount for a 3 game series.
