Will the luck of the Irish be with Edwin Edwards again in his political endeavors? We're not sure if St. Patrick's Day is the reason or if it just happens to be a coincidence.  Today is the day Edwin Edwards returns to public, political life in Louisiana. If you can believe sources close to the former Governor.

What are Edwards' chances in a state that has seen its political landscape change since he was last in office? According to political analyst Bernie Pinsonat,

"the state has changed a lot since he was last elected Governor, we don't elect any democrats but the main problem here is that he was sent to federal prison and convicted of a felony. But it's Edwin Edwards so you never know."

Pinsonat made those comments to The Louisiana Radio Network.

The official announcement of Edwards' intentions to seek the 6th Congressional seat is expected to come around lunchtime during a meeting of the Baton Rouge Press Club. Edwards is a four time Governor of the state and his inclusion in the race for the 6th Congressional seat is expected to once again shine the bright light of speculation on Louisiana's political climate.
