The 8th Annual Lafayette Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk will be held on SATURDAY, September 28, 2019 at the River Ranch Town Square. Music, snacks, and festivities will also be available for all ages to enjoy. The event will bring together lung cancer patients, survivors, and advocates from the Lafayette area will gather to raise awareness and funding for lung cancer research. Proceeds from the event support the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its vision to create a world free of lung cancer. To date, LCRF has funded 364 research grants, totaling nearly $33 million, the highest amount provided by a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding lung cancer research. In addition to research, LCRF focuses on lung cancer awareness and educational programs.
