The Historic Delta Grand Theatre announced an addition to its summer youth programming, the inaugural Young Artists Camp.
The three-week camp will introduce participants to the fundamentals of visual art through a variety of activities and projects in different mediums and processes. Participants will learn drawing, self-portraiture, painting, collage, mask-making, the fundamentals of book-making and other exciting projects.
Participants will also contribute work to the July theatre camp's production of PETER PAN, which runs concurrently with the Young Artists Camp. For any child interested in both performing and visual arts, this is a perfect summer camp to explore their creative side and unleash their inner artist.
The camp will run July 7 - 25, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp is accepting students aged 10 and up. The cost for the camp is $250 for all three weeks or $100 a week. For more information, call (337) 407-1806.
