Additional Information

Vermilionville will be hosting it's second annual summer camp series on four separate weeks during the summer months. Each week is tailored to a specific age group in order to provide age-appropriate and skill level demonstrations as well as hands-on craft opportunities. The summer camp is for children between the ages of 5-12.

Your child will experience the Vermilionville package. The camp will start every morning at 9 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. in the afternoon. We will also provide the campers with a small breakfast in the morning, along with lunch and snacks from La Cuisine de Maman. Be sure to notify the camp of any food allergies in advance.

Throughout the week, campers will get to learn about all the different things that make Acadiana so unique. On the first two days, they'll learn about the earth, plants, the bayou, and natural resources. Our gardener and chef will teach the campers about everything from planting your own food to preparing your own lunch. The following days will focus on our three cultures : Acadians, Creoles and Native Americans. They will get to work with our artisans and musicians to learn about their crafts and history.

Week 2 (July 7 - July 11) Ages 8-9
Week 3 (July 14 - July 18) Ages 10-12
