Additional Information

The Jeanerette Museum Board of Directors will celebrate water on World Water Day along the banks of Bayou Teche. The public is invited to a free performance by the Iberia Swamp Band. The band will take the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. under the Jeanerette City Park pavilion.

The Iberia Swamp Band is a “big band” style of jazz/swing band. Comprised of approximately 20 members, some from Jeanerette, this band delivers big on style. Enjoy a wide variety of tunes, consisting of old-style big band charts, modern songs, and older popular favorites. This event is family friendly. You are welcome to bring your lawn chair. No ice chests please.

This program is a part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities made possible through funding from the Walton Family Foundation. This program is also sponsored by the Friends of the Jeanerette Museum. For information on this event visit www.jeanerettemuseum.com, like the museum on Facebook or call Gail at 337-380-9057.
