New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon has missed the second game of back-to-backs since returning from his knee injury in December. Now, he'll miss a game for a different reason. Gordon will not play tonight when the Hornets host the Portland Trail Blazers because of a sprained right hand. The team would not disclose how the injury occurred. Eric has also dealt with back stiffness since his return.

The extent of the sprain is unknown at this time, and the Hornets will likely conduct medical tests during the upcoming  All-Starbreak. Hopefully the layoff will help Gordon heal for the last third of the season.

Austin Rivers will start at shooting guard tonight in place of Gordon for the second straight game. Tip-off from the Hive is set for 7:00.
