Car Crashes Into the Side of Lafayette Church

(KLFY) A Lafayette church has a huge hole in the side of it after an early morning car accident Saturday.

In the early morning hours, around 2 a.m., someone drove their car into the side of Pathway Church located at 3210 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy in Lafayette.

Pastor Ben Davis says they've been praying for the person who ran into the side of the church and then fled the scene.

Pastor Davis is very optimistic about the situation.

We always believe that God has something good in store. Any time the enemy does something against us, God always has a way of turning it around for good. -Pastor Ben Davis

Pastor Davis says they are going to use this time for the church to grow.

Lafayette Police responded to the accident. When the police arrived, the car was inside the church with no sign of the driver.

Church services were canceled this weekend.

We may even do some pop-up church services around the city. We started mobile as a church when we first launched. -Pastor Ben Davis

Lafayette Police Department is urging anyone who may know anything about this incident to contact police.
