Our sources at the Texas Lottery offices have bestowed some very good news for lottery players in the state. Monday night's drawings were very lucrative for players who participated in the multi-state Powerball game.

Of interest for players who play both the Powerball game and the Mega Millions game, we can confirm that no ticket sold for the Friday, 13 Mega Millions game matched all numbers needed to claim the jackpot prize. One ticket did have four numbers, and that person won $10,000.

The estimated jackpot for Mega Millions will be around $31 million when the game draws again on Tuesday evening. That is a life-changing amount of money. If you take the cash option it will be valued at around $15 million.

Texas Had Powerball Winners In A Lower Prize Level

It's nothing to sneeze at when you win money! Even if you don't win the largest prize offered while playing the game, winning thousands of dollars can be something that can make a huge difference in your life.

Three tickets sold for Monday night's Powerball drawing ended up netting the ticket holders thousands of dollars, as there were 3 people who had tickets that matched four numbers. Two of the three ticket holders will be walking away with $50,000 for their prize. A third ticket holder decided to pick the Power Play option and so the ticketholder's prize has risen to $250,000.

Texas Had A Huge Prize Powerball Winner

If you are wondering what it might be like to win a substantial lottery prize, you certainly need to check your tickets. Someone won a $2,000,000 prize.

According to our sources at the Texas Lottery, the $2 million prize was sold in Bay City at the Speedy Stop Food Store #111 which is located at 3107 7th Street. The person who bought this ticket matched all 5 numbers but did not have the Powerball number. Because the player opted for the Power Played option, the prize doubled from $1 to $2 million.

The Powerball numbers for Monday's drawing are 8, 9, 11, 27, 31 and the Powerball number was 17. The Powerball Power Play number is 5. Use those numbers for reference but please do verify your tickets by checking them against the details posted on the Official Powerball Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website. Those sites allow you to review multiple ticket numbers. They also have redemption information if you purchased a winning ticket. Lord, knows we all want to get paid, right?
