Alert: Lafayette Man Being Sought, Huge Bundle Of Deadly Fentanyl Discovered,
Officials with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office are still searching for a man who is a suspect in connection with a huge bundle of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine that was found in Lafayette.
Fentanyl is supposed to be used by people with severe chronic or acute medical issues that are causing tremendous pain. The medicine is used in the medical field for these purposes. The drug is fifty to a hundred times more powerful than heroin.
Now Fentanyl is everywhere. The Drug Encorecement Agency, says their laboratory testing reveals that 7 of every 10 Fentanyl pills have a lethal dose of the drug. It only takes about 2 to 3 mg to kill someone. This load of Fentanyl that was found at 200 Bridgeway was almost enough to kill 200,000.
Who Are Officials Looking For?
Sheriff's spokesperson Valerie Ponseti says they are looking for 32-year-old Jevon Lively in connection to the drugs that were found. They located one pound of Fentanyl in a bag and a two-pound bag of Methamphetamine in another bag.
Investigators came up with these bags while investigating yesterday along with $24,000. Officials located all these items at around 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. They are asking anyone who knows where Jevon Lively is to notify them.

- Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances (Fentanyl)
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances (Methamphetamine)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses
- Violation of Uniform CDS Law
- Drug-Free Zone
- Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Minor
