A bus fire has traffic stopped on I-10 near Whiskey Bay. According to the traffic cameras of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD), the vehicle fire was near Mile Marker 131 in the westbound lanes of the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

Emergency response vehicles are on the scene and currently, traffic is backing up toward the Ramah exit.

At this time, we are waiting for more information, and no injuries have been reported yet.

Eyewitnesses say traffic is at a complete stop and that it appears to be a bus that caught fire. They saw two people escape from the bus that is engulfed in flames, and a fire truck was arriving.
