Well-Traveled South Louisiana Bridge Closed After Sustaining Damage
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that a bridge in south Louisiana has been closed for repairs after it was damaged by a commercial vehicle.
The LA Hwy 91 Pontoon Bridge in Estherwood is now closed until further notice for the repairs.
DOTD did not specify what exactly happened only saying it was a single-vehicle crash. Nor was the extent of the damages revealed. However, it was significant enough to warrant a closure.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes to ensure safety and reduce congestion.
